Thank you for saying this! I see so many Featured images which are NOT on the public domain or royalty-free, that I'm amazed Medium hasn't done anything on that regard, yet.

This is going to backfire, sooner or later. And maybe even on the authors who actually pay for the images they use, or shoot them themselves....
